This page explains how to delete your data from Softalon. Whether you want to remove your account, a salon, or data associated with a third-party integration, the steps below will guide you through the process.

1. Account Deletion

You can delete your Softalon account at any time from your account settings.

How to Delete Your Account

1. Log in to your Softalon account at app.softalon.com
2. Navigate to Account Settings
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
4. Click Delete Account and confirm your decision

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period:

• Your account profile (name, email, phone number, avatar)
• Your account settings and preferences
• All active sessions and authentication data

What Happens to Salons You Own

If you are the owner of any salons, you must either transfer ownership or delete those salons before deleting your account. Salons cannot exist without an owner.

If you are a member (not the owner) of a salon, your account will be unlinked from the membership, but the membership record itself remains part of the salon's data. Salons act as independent data controllers for their business data (see our Data Processing Agreement), so you will need to contact the salon directly to request deletion of your membership and any associated records they hold.

2. Salon Deletion

You can delete a salon you own at any time from the salon settings.

How to Delete a Salon

1. Log in to your Softalon account
2. Navigate to the salon you want to delete
3. Go to Salon Settings > General
4. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
5. Click Delete Salon and confirm your decision

What Gets Deleted

When you delete a salon, the following data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period:

• Salon profile and settings
• All members and their roles
• All clients and their records
• All appointments and booking history
• All services, locations, and schedules
• All conversations and messages
• All invoices and payment records
• All integration connections and their stored credentials
• All calendar synchronization data
• All workflow automations

Important Notes

• Salon deletion is irreversible after the 30-day grace period
• Active subscriptions will be cancelled
• External calendar events created by Softalon on third-party platforms (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook) will not be removed from those platforms

3. Integration Data Removal

When you disconnect a third-party integration, Softalon performs the following cleanup:

Calendar Integrations (Google Calendar, Office 365)

• OAuth tokens are revoked (Google Calendar) or invalidated
• Active webhook subscriptions are stopped
• All synchronized calendar data and external event mappings are deleted from Softalon
• Events previously created on the external calendar platform by Softalon will not be removed from that platform

Payment Integrations (Stripe, Square, PayPal)

• OAuth access is revoked with the payment provider (Stripe, Square)
• Connection credentials are permanently deleted
• Payment reference mappings (linking Softalon payments to provider transactions) are retained for historical purposes. These mappings contain only internal identifiers and do not include any client personal data or financial details

Conversation Integrations (WhatsApp, Messenger)

• Webhook subscriptions are removed from Meta's platform
• Connection credentials are permanently deleted
• Conversation history and messages are retained in Softalon, as they are part of your salon's business records. To fully remove conversation data, delete the salon (see Section 2)

Other Integrations (Brevo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel)

• Connection credentials (API keys, tokens) are permanently deleted
• No external cleanup is required for these integrations

How to Disconnect an Integration

1. Log in to your Softalon account
2. Navigate to the relevant salon (for salon-scoped integrations) or account settings (for account-scoped integrations)
3. Go to Settings > Integrations
4. Find the integration you want to disconnect
5. Click Disconnect and confirm your decision

4. Data Deletion for WhatsApp and Messenger Users

If you connected your WhatsApp Business Account or Facebook Page to Softalon through the WhatsApp or Messenger integration, you can remove your data as follows:

1. Disconnect the integration from your Softalon salon settings (see Section 3). This will revoke Softalon's access to your WhatsApp Business Account or Facebook Page, remove webhook subscriptions from Meta's platform, and delete all stored credentials.
2. Remove Softalon from your Facebook settings: Go to Facebook Settings > Business Integrations and remove Softalon from the list of connected apps.

Conversation Data Retention

Please note that disconnecting the integration does not automatically delete conversation history and messages. This data is retained in Softalon as part of the salon's business records (see Section 3 — Conversation Integrations).

To fully delete conversation data, you can either:

• Delete the salon that holds the conversation data (see Section 2)
• Contact us at [email protected] to request deletion of specific conversation data

5. Requesting Data Deletion

If you are unable to delete your data through the methods described above, or if you need assistance, you can submit a data deletion request:

• Email: [email protected]
• Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
• Include: Your name, email address, and a description of the data you want deleted

We will respond to all data deletion requests within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.
