A campaign gives you a referral code. You add the code to Softalon links as ?ref=CODE, and every lead and sale that comes through it is tied to that campaign. Create one campaign per channel, such as your blog, your Instagram bio or a newsletter, to see which one works best.
Before you start
- An active partner account. See Check your application status.
- 1
Step 1 of 4
Open Campaigns
In the Softalon Partners app, select Campaigns in the sidebar. Then select Create Campaign.
You can also type "create campaign" in the search bar at the top and pick Create Campaign.
- 2
Step 2 of 4
Name the campaign
Enter a Name that tells you where you'll use it, such as "Instagram bio" or "Spring newsletter". People who click your link never see the name.
- 3
Step 3 of 4
Choose the code
By default the Code switch is off, and Softalon generates a random 8-character code of capital letters and numbers.
If your tier allows custom codes, you can turn the Code switch on and type your own, such as
HAIRHAVEN. A custom code:- can use only letters and numbers, with no spaces or symbols
- must not be in use by any other campaign, including other partners' campaigns, ignoring upper and lower case
If your tier doesn't allow custom codes, the switch is turned off and can't be changed.
- 4
Step 4 of 4
Save
Select Create Campaign at the bottom.
You will see:A Campaign Created message, and the new campaign in the table with its code.
You can't change a campaign's code after you create it. Pick the code carefully before you print it or share it widely.
Next, build your link with the code. See Share your referral link.
If something is off
I see Campaign Creation Failed
Read the message under the title. The most common reason is that your custom code is already used by another campaign. Try a different code. If the code has a space, hyphen or other symbol, remove it.
I can't turn on the Code switch
Your tier doesn't include custom campaign codes. Create the campaign with a random code, or contact Softalon support about your tier.
Common questions
The app doesn't set a limit on the number of campaigns.
