Every active partner belongs to a tier. The Softalon team assigns your tier when they approve your application, and a partner account can't be active without one. Your tier decides how much you earn and when you can withdraw it.

Where to see your tier

The Current Tier card on the Dashboard shows your tier name and a line such as 20% for 12 months. If your commission has no time limit, it reads for unlimited. The minimum payout appears in the Request Payout dialog on the Payouts page.

What a tier controls

SettingWhat it does
Commission rateThe percentage of each sale you earn.
Commission durationHow many months you keep earning on a referred salon, counted from that salon's first subscription payment. Some tiers have no limit.
Minimum payoutThe smallest amount you can request in one payout.
Custom campaign codesWhether you can choose your own campaign code. Without it, every campaign gets a random code.

You can't change your tier yourself. Contact Softalon support if you have questions about it.

How commission is calculated

  1. Someone signs up for Softalon through your referral link. They become your lead.
  2. They create a salon. The salon becomes your lead too.
  3. The salon pays for a Softalon subscription. Each payment creates a sale.
  4. Your commission on the sale is the sale amount times your commission rate.

Example. Your tier pays 20% for 12 months. Emma Johnson signs up through your link and creates Hair Haven in Austin. Hair Haven pays $99 for its first month on March 3. You earn $19.80. Each renewal in the 12 months after that first payment earns you the same 20%. Payments after those 12 months don't earn commission.

What counts as a sale

  • Only subscription payments: a new subscription, a plan change and each renewal. Other purchases don't count.
  • The sale amount is the subscription amount the salon paid, in US dollars. Payments in other currencies are converted.
  • The first subscription payment always earns commission. It also starts the clock for your commission duration.

When commission stops counting

  • A sale counts toward your balance only while its payment is successful. If the payment fails or is refunded, even partly, that sale's commission is removed from your balance.
  • After your commission duration ends for a salon, new payments from that salon don't create sales for you.

Softalon charges salons 0% commission on their bookings. Your partner commission is a share of the salon's subscription payments to Softalon, not of the salon's own sales.

Common questions

Per salon. Each referred salon has its own clock, starting from its first subscription payment.
