Some salons add booking to their own website. When you select a booking button there, the booking opens in a panel or a window on top of the page you're on. It's the same booking you'd get on the salon's booking site, with the same steps, prices and times. See Book an appointment online.
What's different
- You stay on the salon's website. The booking opens on top of the page. The salon's menus and footer are hidden while you book, so you can focus on the steps.
- Some choices may already be made. A button for a specific service or location can open the booking with that choice filled in.
- Other pages open in a new tab. If you select a link that leads outside the booking, such as a service detail page or directions, it opens in a new browser tab. Your booking stays where it was.
Closing the booking
To close the booking, use the close button at the top. You'll see Cancel Booking? with the message that your progress will be lost. Confirm to close it, or cancel to keep booking.
Nothing is booked until you finish the last step, so closing early doesn't create an appointment.
Paying online
For security, online payments don't run inside the salon's page. When you select Pay Now, the payment page opens in a new browser tab.
While you pay, the booking window shows Action in Progress.... It explains that a new tab was opened and that the booking resumes as soon as you're finished.
- 1
Step 1 of 3
Complete the payment in the new tab
Enter your payment details in the new tab and finish the payment.
You will see:The payment tab closes by itself, and the booking window shows the status of your appointment.
- 2
Step 2 of 3
If the new tab didn't open
Your browser may have blocked it. Select Open Tab Manually to open the payment page again.
- 3
Step 3 of 3
If you want to start over
Select Restart Booking to go back to the start of the booking. If you already started a payment, see My payment didn't go through before booking again.
If you close the payment tab without paying, the booking window stops waiting and returns to your booking. Your appointment may already exist with the status Awaiting Payment. See What your booking status means.
Chat on the salon's website
Some salons also add their chat to their own website. It works the same way as on the salon's booking site. See Chat with the salon's assistant.
If something is off
Nothing happens when I select the booking button
The page may still be loading. Wait a moment and try again. If it still doesn't open, check that your browser isn't blocking content on the page, or book on the salon's booking site instead.
I paid, but the booking window is still waiting
Check the payment tab. If it shows your appointment, the booking is done. You can close the tab and the booking window. If you're not sure, sign in on the salon's booking site and check Appointments.
Common questions
Yes. It's the salon's regular booking, shown inside their page. Online payments always open in their own tab.
