Every appointment has a status. It tells you whether your booking is set, still waiting on something, or finished. You see it on the page that opens right after you book, and next to each appointment under Appointments when you're signed in. See View your appointments.
Statuses
Right after you book
The page that opens after booking uses a heading that matches the status:
- Appointment Confirmed! means the booking is confirmed.
- Awaiting Confirmation means the salon reviews bookings before accepting them. The page says the salon will let you know once it's confirmed.
- Awaiting Payment means you still need to finish paying.
Whether a new booking starts as Confirmed or Awaiting Confirmation depends on the salon. Some salons confirm every booking right away. Others review each request first.
Awaiting Payment
When you choose an online payment method, your booking waits for the payment. Once the payment goes through, the status changes to the salon's usual status: Confirmed, or Awaiting Confirmation if the salon reviews bookings first.
Your time is held for 15 minutes while you pay. If you don't finish paying in that time, someone else may book the same time. Finish the payment right away. If something goes wrong, see My payment didn't go through.
How statuses change
You can also cancel an appointment that's still waiting for confirmation or payment, if the salon allows canceling. It then becomes Canceled. See Cancel an appointment.
Declined, Canceled, Completed and No Show are final. A final appointment can't be changed. Book a new one instead.
Some salons send you a link to confirm your appointment yourself. See Confirm an appointment.
After you reschedule
If you move an appointment to a new time, some salons review it again. In that case the status goes back to Awaiting Confirmation until the salon accepts the new time. See Reschedule an appointment.
