Many salons have a chat on their website. Their assistant can answer questions about services, prices and opening times, and help you book an appointment. When you need a person, a team member can join the conversation.
The chat is only there if the salon has turned it on. If you don't see a chat button, contact the salon another way.

Step 1 of 4
Open the chat
On the salon's website, select the round chat button in the bottom corner of the page. The chat isn't shown while you're on the booking steps.
On a phone, the chat opens full screen. On a computer, it opens in a small window.

Step 2 of 4
Share your details
Under Start a Conversation, enter your first and last name. Add your email address, phone number or both, depending on what the salon asks for. If both are shown and neither is required, fill in at least one.
Select Start Conversation.
You will see:The chat window with a message box that says Type a message....

Step 3 of 4
Ask your question
Type your message and send it. The assistant replies in the chat. At the top, you'll see the assistant's name, or the name of the team member you're talking to.

Step 4 of 4
Book through the chat (optional)
Tell the assistant what you'd like to book, for example a service, a day and a time. It asks for anything that's missing. Before it books, it shows a summary with the price and asks you to confirm.
Your appointment is only booked after you confirm.
Talking to a person
Ask for a team member at any time, for example "Can I talk to someone?". The assistant lets you know it's connecting you, and the salon's team is alerted. When a team member replies, their name appears on their messages. Replies may not be instant, since the team works with clients in the salon.
Chat options
Open the menu at the top of the chat window for these options:
Coming back later
The chat remembers your conversation in this browser on this device. If you close the chat and come back, you'll see the same conversation. If you use a different device or browser, or clear your browser data, a new conversation starts.
The chat may also appear on the salon's own website, not just on their booking site. It works the same way in both places.
If something is off
I don't see a chat button
The salon may not offer chat. The button is also hidden while you're on the booking steps. Go to the salon's home page and look again.
My message didn't send
You'll see Message Send Failed. Check your internet connection and send the message again.
I want to start over
Select Restart in the chat menu. Your old conversation stays with the salon, but you'll start a new one on your device.
Common questions
Usually with the salon's assistant. Messages from a team member show that person's name.
