A location is a place where clients get your services. It can be a storefront, a home studio, the client's own address or an online meeting. Every booking happens at a location.

Before you start

  • You need the Super Administrator or Owner role.
  • Your plan sets how many active locations you can have. See Plans compared.
  1. 1

    Step 1 of 5

    Open the new location form

In the sidebar, go to Locations and click Create Location.

  2. 2

    Step 2 of 5

    Name and describe it

Enter a Name of at least 3 characters, like Hair Haven Downtown. Each location name must be unique in your salon.

Choose a Type. Add an Excerpt and a Description if you want them on your booking site.

  3. 3

    Step 3 of 5

    Add the address

For Physical and Private locations, pick the Country or Region first. Then search for the address and choose it from the suggestions, or click Enter Address Manually and type each line.

  4. 4

    Step 4 of 5

    Create the location

    Click Create.

    You will see:

A Location Created message, and you're taken to the saved location. Its other tabs, like Services, Members and Gallery, are now ready to use.

  5. 5

    Step 5 of 5

    Make it bookable

A location is bookable only when it has services and team members. Turn them on in the Services and Members tabs, then set each member's working hours for this location. See Choose services and team members for a location.

Turn a location off

On the Locations page, use the switch in the Status column. Inactive locations aren't offered for booking and don't count toward your plan's location limit.

If you move to a plan that allows fewer locations, Softalon keeps your oldest active locations and turns off the newest ones until you're within the limit.

If something is off

I can't create or turn on another location

You've reached the number of active locations your plan allows. Turn off a location you no longer use, or change your plan. See A feature says Upgrade required.

The address search shows no results

Choose the Country or Region first. If the address still doesn't appear, click Enter Address Manually.

The location doesn't show on my booking site

Check that it's active, has at least one service turned on, and has at least one team member with working hours there who also offers one of those services.

Common questions

Private locations are meant for homes and studios, so only the city, state, postal code and country are required.
