Softalon Payments is the built-in way to take online payments. There's no separate account to sign up for: your salon's payments account is created the first time you open Settings › Payments. Clients pay on a checkout page on your own booking site, and the money collects in your Softalon Payments balance until you withdraw it.
Softalon charges 0% commission on your bookings. Each online payment has a payment processing fee. That fee is separate from your subscription and is not a commission.
Before you start
- You need the Super Administrator or Owner role.
- Your Softalon subscription must be active to take payments.

Step 1 of 4
Open the payment settings
Go to Settings › Payments. The Softalon Payments card is at the top.
You will see:Your Available Balance. It shows a dash while it loads or if the balance isn't available yet.
- 2
Step 2 of 4
Let clients pay online
In the Accepted Payment Methods card, find Online Payment and turn on its switch. The change saves right away.
Clients now see Online Payment at checkout on your booking site, and you can choose it when you create a payment for an invoice. You can rename it with the gear icon. See Choose which payment methods clients see.
You will see:A confirmation message, and the switch stays on.

Step 3 of 4
Activate payouts
On the Softalon Payments card, click Activate Payouts. A secure verification window opens. Follow its steps to verify your details. Payouts can't be sent until verification is complete.
When you submit, Softalon refreshes your account status.
You will see:Once verification is approved, Activate Payouts is replaced by Payouts and Withdraw.

Step 4 of 4
Withdraw your money
When you have an available balance, click Withdraw, or set up automatic payouts. See Withdraw your balance and set up automatic payouts.
Reading your balance
- Available Balance is money you can withdraw now.
- Pending, shown in brackets after the balance, is money from recent payments that isn't available to withdraw yet.
How online payments reach you
- A client pays at booking, or from a payment link you send.
- The client completes checkout on your booking site.
- When the payment succeeds, the payment changes to Completed in Finances › Payments. If it was for a booking that was waiting for payment, the appointment moves to your default booking status.
- The money appears in your balance. Recent payments can show as pending before they become available.
If something is off
Online Payment doesn't show up for clients
Check that the Online Payment switch is on in Accepted Payment Methods. When it's off, clients don't see it and you can't choose it when creating a payment either.
I still see Activate Payouts after verifying
Verification can take time to be reviewed. Reload the page later. If the window asks for more information, open Activate Payouts again and finish the missing steps.
The card shows an error instead of buttons
The buttons need a secure session with the payments provider. Reload the page. If the error stays, contact support with the message shown on the card.
