The Website & Booking report shows how people find and use your Softalon booking website. Open it from Reports in the sidebar.

Where the data comes from

Softalon records page views on your booking website for every active domain of your salon: your Softalon subdomain and any custom domain that has finished verification. A custom domain that is still pending is not included.

  • Bots are excluded. Visits flagged as bots, crawlers or automation don't count.
  • Date range. Pick a range in the top right. The default is the current month up to today. Days follow your salon's timezone.
  • Comparison. The four summary cards compare the range with a period of the same length right before it. Bounce Rate shows the change in percentage points (pts), and a lower bounce rate is shown as an improvement.
  • Whole salon. This report covers your whole website. It looks the same for every team member who can open it.

If you connect your own Google Analytics, Tag Manager or Meta Pixel, those tools track separately and their numbers can differ. See Track visits with Google Analytics, Tag Manager or Meta Pixel.

Summary cards

A visit is one browsing session on your site that includes at least one page view.

MetricWhat it showsHow it's calculated
Total VisitsNumber of visitsCount of sessions with at least one page view in the range.
Unique VisitorsDifferent peopleNumber of distinct visitors across those sessions. One person visiting three times counts once.
Avg. DurationTime spent on the siteFor each visit, the time from the first page view to the last page view or page leave, averaged over all visits. Leaving the page counts, so a one-page visit still gets a real duration.
Bounce RateVisits that ended after one pageVisits with exactly one page view, divided by all visits.

Lists and charts

The lists show the top 5 entries. Where a percentage is shown, it's that entry's share of Total Visits.

CardWhat it showsHow it's calculated
Acquisition ChannelsWhere visitors came fromVisits grouped by the referring website. Visits with no referrer, such as typed links or bookmarks, show as Direct.
Top CountriesWhere visitors areVisits grouped by the visitor's country, based on their IP address.
Most Visited PagesYour most viewed pagesPage views grouped by page path, with the page's latest title. This counts views, not visits, so one visit can view a page several times.
Device BreakdownDesktop, mobile and tabletVisits grouped by device type, as a share of all visits.
Peak Traffic HoursBusiest hours of the dayVisits grouped by the hour they happened, in your salon's timezone.
Top CampaignsVisits from tagged linksVisits whose link had a UTM source or UTM campaign tag, grouped by source and campaign. This card only appears when you have tagged traffic in the range.

To see your own campaigns here, add UTM tags to the links you share, for example ?utm_source=instagram&utm_campaign=spring-sale.

Common questions

The report counts visits on your active domains only. Check that your subdomain is active and that any custom domain has finished verification.
