Some countries, such as the United States and Canada, don't allow text messages from a sender name. Texts to those countries must come from a dedicated phone number. Check your clients' countries in the SMS Country Guide first.

Phone numbers can't be bought directly in the app right now. You can browse available numbers and their prices, but to get one, you need to contact support.

Before you start

  • You have the Super Administrator or Owner role.
  • You have enough credits for the first month. Numbers are paid for in credits.

Find a number

  1. 1

    Step 1 of 4

    Open Phone Numbers

Go to Settings β€Ί Notifications and find the Phone Numbers card. Click Buy Phone Number.

  2. 2

    Step 2 of 4

    Choose a country and type

Pick a Country and a Type:

    • Toll-Free
    • Local
    • Mobile

Not every type is available in every country. The SMS Country Guide lists the supported types.

  3. 3

    Step 3 of 4

    Search and pick a number

Optionally type digits in Search to find a number that contains them. Each number shows its capabilities, such as SMS and Voice, and its price in credits per month.

    You will see:

A list of numbers, or No numbers available. Try a different search or country.

  4. 4

    Step 4 of 4

    Contact support

Click Purchase Number. You'll see a message asking you to contact support. Send the support team the number, country and type you picked.

How billing works

  • The first month is charged in credits when the number is bought.
  • After that, the number renews every 30 days. The monthly price is based on the current price for that country and type, so it can change between renewals.
  • If Call Forwarding is on, 500 credits are added to each renewal. See Forward calls to your phone.
  • If you don't have enough credits at renewal, Softalon tries again about every 6 hours. After 7 days without enough credits, the number is released and you lose it.

Top up before your renewal date to keep your number. See Buy more credits.

Verify a toll-free number

A toll-free number needs to be verified, and it becomes active once the verification is approved. The Verification column shows where it stands. See Verify a toll-free number. For other number types, click Contact Us in that column.

Delete a number

  1. 1

    Step 1 of 2

    Open the number's menu

In the Phone Numbers table, open the menu on the number's row and choose Delete Number.

  2. 2

    Step 2 of 2

    Confirm

    Confirm the deletion.

    You will see:

    Phone Number Deleted.

Deleting a number can't be undone. The number is released and you can't get it back. Credits already paid for the current period aren't returned.

Common questions

Texts are charged per segment at the normal SMS rate for the recipient's country. The number itself has its own monthly price.
