Appointment links let a client act on one appointment without signing in. You can copy a link and send it any way you like, for example by text or chat. Each link opens on your booking website.

Before you start

  • Links open on your booking website's primary domain. If your salon has no primary domain, links can't be created. See Change your subdomain or primary domain.
  • Members with the User role can share links for their own appointments. Administrators and above can share links for anyone's.

Your booking rules still apply

The link only opens the door. What the client can do still follows your settings:

  • Cancel and Manage only let the client cancel if Allow Canceling is on, and not later than Minimum Time Before Cancellation.
  • Reschedule and Manage only let the client reschedule if Allow Rescheduling is on, and not later than Minimum Time Before Rescheduling. New times also follow your minimum notice and how far ahead clients can book. The status may reset, depending on Status After Reschedule.
  • Review works once per appointment, and only after it's Completed.

See Let clients cancel or reschedule online.

No. Appointment links don't have an expiry date. They stop being useful when the appointment's status no longer allows the action. For example, a cancel link does nothing once the appointment is completed. Anyone who has the link can use it, so only send it to the client.

You don't have to share links by hand. In automations, the appointment's Action Links group has Confirm Link, Cancel Link, Reschedule Link, Manage Link, Update Link, Review Link and Meeting Link. Add them to a reminder or follow-up message. See Use variables in automations.

Common questions

No. The link works on its own for that one appointment.
