Let clients book several services at once

With multi-service booking, a client can book, say, a haircut and a color in one go. Softalon chains the services one after another and only offers start times where the whole visit fits.

   Open the booking settings

   Go to Settings › Booking and scroll to the Policies & Restrictions card.

   Turn on multi-service booking

   Turn on Allow Multi-service Booking.

   Set the maximum wait

   Choose a Maximum Wait Time for Multi-service Booking. This is the longest idle gap a client may have between two services in the same visit. Pick Disabled if the next service must start as soon as the previous one ends, or a time from 15 minutes up to 72 hours.

   Save

   Click Save at the bottom of the card.

   You will see:

   A Settings Updated message appears. Clients can now add more than one service in the Choose Service step on your booking site.

How chained bookings work

• Clients can book up to 10 services in one visit.
• Each service becomes its own appointment, and they're booked together.
• Every service starts on your time-slot grid, set by Step in the Time Slots card. Softalon never invents an off-grid start time to close a gap.
• Buffer times set on a service don't count as waiting. Only idle time beyond the buffers counts toward the maximum wait.
• Different services can go to different team members, depending on who's free and who offers each service.

Why some follow-up services seem to disappear

A start time only shows if every service in the chain can follow within your maximum wait. If the next service can't start in time, that start time isn't offered.

For example, with a 30-minute step and a 15-minute maximum wait, a 45-minute haircut ending at 10:45 needs the next service to start by 11:00. If nobody's free for the color until 11:30, the 10:00 start time is hidden.

If clients see too few times, raise the maximum wait. If a longer wait is fine for your salon, a value like 1 hour gives clients many more options.
