Canceling doesn't end your subscription right away. It stops the next renewal, and you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Before you start
- You're the salon owner. Only the owner can open Plan & Billing.
Cancel your subscription
- 1
Step 1 of 3
Open the cancel dialog
Go to Settings › Plan & Billing. In the Subscription card, click Manage, then Cancel Subscription.
- 2
Step 2 of 3
Read the details and pick a reason
The dialog shows the date your subscription stays active until. It also reminds you that:
- you keep full access until the end of the billing period,
- you can resume the subscription any time before it expires,
- no refund is issued for the remaining period.
Choose an answer under Why are you cancelling?. A reason is required.
- 3
Step 3 of 3
Confirm
Click Cancel Subscription.
You will see:A toast that says Subscription Cancelled. The Subscription card now shows Cancels on and the end date, and the owner and super administrators see a Subscription Ending banner at the top of the app.
What happens on the end date
On the date shown next to Cancels on, the subscription status changes to Canceled:
- You aren't charged again.
- Remaining plan credits expire. Credits you bought yourself stay in your account.
- Features that need an active subscription stop working. For example, you and your clients can't create or reschedule appointments, workflows stop running, the AI assistant stops replying and webhooks stop sending.
- Softalon emails your billing email address to confirm the cancellation.
Your salon and its data stay in Softalon. To remove the salon completely, see Delete a salon.
If you cancel during a free trial, access continues until the trial end date and you aren't charged.
Undo a cancellation before the end date
If you change your mind before the end date:
- Go to Settings › Plan & Billing.
- In the Subscription card, click Reactivate.
You'll see Subscription Reactivated, and the card shows Renews on again. Nothing is charged until your normal renewal date.
Reactivate after the subscription has ended
If the status is Canceled, Unpaid or Incomplete, the subscription can't be resumed. You start a new one instead:
- 1
Step 1 of 3
Start reactivation
Go to Settings › Plan & Billing and click Reactivate. The Reactivate link in the banner at the top of the app also takes you there.
- 2
Step 2 of 3
Choose a plan
On Choose a Plan, pick Monthly or Yearly and the plan you want. Click Continue.
- 3
Step 3 of 3
Review and pay
Check the Billing Summary, add a coupon code if you have one, and choose or add a payment method. Click Confirm Subscription.
You will see:A toast that says Subscription Created, and an Active status in the Subscription card.
A new subscription after a previous one starts as paid right away. There's no second free trial. A coupon you've already used on this salon can't be used again.
If something is off
Multiple unpaid subscriptions detected
You can't start a new subscription while the salon has two or more past due or unpaid subscriptions. Contact Softalon support to sort out the billing history.
I don't see Plan & Billing in Settings
Only the salon owner can manage billing. Ask the owner, or see Transfer salon ownership.
