Complete the setup wizard

The setup wizard gets a new salon ready to take bookings. Many fields are already filled in for you, so most steps are a quick review. Softalon saves each step when you click Continue, so you can stop and come back later.

   Open the wizard

   On your dashboard, click Continue Setup in the Complete Setup banner at the top, or click the step shown in the Finish Salon Setup card. The wizard resumes at the last step you reached.

   Set up your salon

   In Set Up Your Salon, check your Country, Language and Timezone, then pick a Color Scheme and Border Radius for your booking site.

   These start from your location and your account language. Changing the language here also switches your default automations to that language.

   Set your working hours

   In Set Your Working Hours, enter when your salon is open. You can type a description such as Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Sat 9am–3pm, closed Sunday and click Apply, or set each day by hand. Use Copy to all days to repeat one day's hours.

   These are your salon's opening hours, shown to clients. The wizard also uses them as the starting working hours for each team member at your first location. After that, each member's hours are separate and you edit them per member. See Salon opening hours vs team working hours.

   Add your location

   In Add Your Location, enter the location's Name, Type, Country and Address. The address is also copied into your company and public contact details.

   Add your team

   In Invite Your Team, click Create Member to add each person. From each member's menu you can Update, Invite, Cancel Invite or Delete them.

   When you continue, every member is assigned to your first location. See Add a team member.

   Add your services

   In Add Your Services, add a photo of your price list or paste it as text, then click Import. Softalon creates the services and their categories for you. You can also add services one at a time with Create Service.

   When you continue, every service is offered at your first location and assigned to every team member.

   You will see:

   A message such as Services imported successfully! with the number of services and categories created.

   Set up payments

   In Set Up Payments, choose your currency and which payment methods clients can use, and pick the default one. Deposits and payouts come later. See Payment settings explained.

   Choose your automations

   In Automate Your Salon, select the notifications and automations you want, such as appointment reminders. You can search the list and change its language. You can fine-tune messages and timings later. See How automations work.

   Share your booking link

   Your Salon is Ready shows your booking link. Share it with clients and on your social profiles. See Share your booking link.

    Set up the AI assistant

    These two steps appear only if your plan includes the AI assistant.

    • Set Up Your AI Booking Assistant: turn the assistant on and set its name, formality, traits and extra details for clients.
    • Connect Your Channels: click Go to Integrations Settings to connect channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger.

    Finish

    You are all set! marks the wizard as complete and lists helpful next steps.

    You will see:

    The Complete Setup banner and the Finish Salon Setup card no longer appear on your dashboard.

Stopping early

Close the wizard and confirm Cancel Onboarding? to leave. Steps you already continued past stay saved. Softalon also fills in a few things you skipped:

• If you skipped the team or services step, existing members and services are assigned to your first location, as they would be at the end of those steps.
• If you skipped the automations step, the default automations are set up.

Closing the wizard this way also hides the banner and the card. Closing the Complete Setup banner with its close button hides both too.
