What gets tracked
- The scripts are added to every page of your booking site.
- To keep your site fast, they load after the visitor first scrolls, clicks or presses a key, or after a few seconds, whichever comes first.
- Meta Pixel sends a
PageViewevent. - Google Analytics records visits with its standard page tracking.
- Google Tag Manager loads your container, so the tags and triggers you set up in Tag Manager run on your site.
Softalon doesn't send booking or purchase events to these tools on its own. To track more, set up tags and triggers in Google Tag Manager, or add your own code.
Softalon doesn't show a cookie consent banner on your booking site. If the rules where you or your clients live require consent before tracking, take care of that yourself, for example through Google Tag Manager.
Change or remove an ID
Each tool can have one ID at a time. To change it, click Disconnect on the card, then Connect again with the new ID. To stop tracking, click Disconnect.
If something is off
No visits show up in Google Analytics
Check that you used the Measurement ID that starts with G-, not a property number. Visit your booking site and scroll or click once, then check again.
The tracking script isn't detected right away
The scripts load after the first scroll, click or key press, or after a few seconds. Interact with the page, then check again.
