There are two ways to let a client pay online after their visit:
- A payment link for a set amount. It works with Softalon Payments, Stripe, PayPal and Square, and with drafts as well as finalized invoices.
- An invoice link. The client sees the finalized invoice and pays the balance. On the invoice page, clients can pay with a connected Stripe, PayPal or Square account.
Before you start
- At least one online payment method must be on in Settings › Payments › Accepted Payment Methods. See Choose which payment methods clients see.
- Members with the User role can only do this for invoices assigned to them.

When the client pays, the payment changes to Completed. If it covers the total, the invoice becomes Paid.

A Softalon Payments link opens a checkout page on your own booking site, under your salon's name.

I get The requested payment method is not supported
The method is turned off in Accepted Payment Methods. Turn it on, or choose another method.
Common questions
Yes. Payment links work for drafts too, which is handy for prepayments. Invoice links only work once the invoice is finalized.
