Clients drift away when life gets busy. The Lapsed triggers start a workflow when a client hasn't been back for a while, so you can invite them to book again.
How Softalon decides a client has lapsed
A client's last visit is the start time of their most recent Completed appointment. Softalon counts from that moment:
The trigger doesn't fire if, at that moment:
- the client has an upcoming appointment that is Awaiting Payment, Awaiting Confirmation or Confirmed,
- the client visited again, which starts the count over, or
- the client is blocked.
Clients who have never completed an appointment don't have a last visit, so these triggers never fire for them. There are no other day counts.
Before you start
- You need the Super Administrator or Owner role.
- Mark finished appointments as Completed. That's what sets the last visit.

Step 1 of 3

Step 2 of 3
Write the invitation
Add or edit a Send Notification step. The client is the event's main record, so use variables like
{{ $event.data.object.emailAddress }}as the email recipient and{{ $event.data.object.firstName }}in the text.Include a link to your booking site so the client can book in one tap. Your salon's domain is available as
{{ $salon.primaryDomain.name }}. - 3
Step 3 of 3
Save and turn it on
Click Save, then make sure the workflow's switch is on on the Workflows page.
You will see:The card shows the trigger, for example Client - Lapsed (60 days).
Keep the message friendly and transactional, like we miss you, book whenever you're ready. Email and SMS messages that read as promotions, such as a discount offer, fail the content check when you save.
