Notification preferences work on two levels:
- Salon preferences turn a channel on or off for everything your salon sends.
- Your own preferences turn a channel on or off for the salon notifications sent to you.
A message only goes out if the channel is on at both levels. If either one is off, the message is skipped and no credits are charged.
The card says salon preferences only affect member notifications, but in practice a channel you turn off here is off for every message your salon sends on it, including messages to clients from your automations. For example, turning off SMS stops SMS reminders to clients too.

The switches on the Notifications tab always change your own preferences, even when you open another member's profile. Each person sets their own.
These preferences only apply to this salon. Notifications about your Softalon account, like security alerts, are managed in your account settings. See Choose how Softalon notifies you.
If something is off
Clients stopped getting texts or emails
Check Settings βΊ Notifications βΊ Preferences. If the channel is off there, nothing is sent on it from your salon. Turn it back on and click Save.
A team member doesn't get notifications on one channel
Ask them to open their own profile under Members, go to Notifications, and check that the channel is on.
